Larry
A. Hollada, CPCU, CIC, CPIA is President of The Insurance Professionals,
Inc., of Selbyville, DE. He is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic
Institute with a major in English and a minor in Business Administration.
He began his insurance career in 1969 with The Hartford Insurance
Group, serving in various sales and administrative positions for
seven years before leaving the company to join the agency ranks.
In 1979 he started The Insurance Professionals, Inc. from "scratch"
with his wife, Rita and later added education and agency management
consulting services. Larry holds the CPCU (Chartered Property
and Casualty Underwriter) and CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor)
professional designations as well as the CPIA certification. He
remains licensed as an agent, broker and surplus lines broker.
Larry
has been named "Insurance Agent of the Year" twice.
Once by the Insurance Field Representatives of Delaware and again
by PIA of Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. He is a past president
of the Professional Insurance Agents Association of Pennsylvania,
Maryland and Delaware, having served on their Board of Directors
for many years. Additionally, he served as a Director of the National
Association of Professional Insurance Agents.
Larry
spends most of his time instructing, writing and consulting. He
writes and instructs insurance and professional courses for a
variety of organizations, as well as specifically designed education
programs for insurance agencies and companies. He, and his wife
Rita, provide agency management consulting services for small,
medium and large agencies. Larry has also had articles published
in professional magazines including ProAgent, Watermark, Agent
and Broker and The Director. He is an instructor for Agent Licensing
Courses, and was instrumental in the development of the Pennsylvania
licensing text. He is a faculty member for the CISR and CPIA professional
development courses as well as the CIC program. In addition he
has instructed various CPCU, AAI and other advanced courses.
